1. Primary & secondary explosion protection
Before a risk occurs, we consistently focus on prevention. Our goal is to avoid explosive atmospheres and eliminate effective sources of ignition in order to eliminate risks in advance.
- Avoiding explosive atmospheres: Intelligent extraction and filter technology nips the formation of dangerous dust or gas concentrations in the bud.
- Spark extinguishing systems: Highly efficient sensors detect sources of ignition in milliseconds and automatically eliminate them before they reach sensitive plant components such as filters or silos.
- Monitoring of limit values: The use of modern measurement technology guarantees permanent compliance with the lower explosion limit (LEL) and ensures a safe operating state.
2. Explosion suppression & extinguishing systems
Should an event occur despite all precautionary measures, the spread must be stopped immediately. We rely on active protection systems that extinguish explosions as early as they arise.
- Explosion suppression systems: These systems recognize the minimum pressure increase of an incipient explosion and introduce extinguishing agent so quickly that the maximum explosion pressure is not even reached.
- Extinguishing systems for filters & pipes: Specialized extinguishing equipment protects critical plant components such as dust removal systems and silos from the consequences of fire.
ATEX rotary valves: As mechanical protection systems, they reliably prevent flame penetrations and dust transfer to adjacent parts of the plant.
3. Tertiary & structural explosion protection
If an explosion cannot be completely prevented, the system must be designed to withstand or safely discharge pressure. Our goal is to protect the structural fabric and the safety of your employees.
- Pressure relief systems: We carry out targeted dissipation of explosion pressure via rupture discs or flameless relief devices in order to protect the system from bursting.
- Explosion decoupling: Mechanical barriers reliably prevent an explosion from spreading over pipes to other parts of a building or machinery.
