Energy-efficient hall cooling for production at Gummiwerk KRAIBURG
Gummiwerk KRAIBURG modernized the hall cooling system at the Waldkraiburg production site in order to significantly reduce the high thermal loads in the summer months. In production in particular, temperatures rose sharply on a regular basis and put a strain on both employees and processes. The aim was to create a draft-free, pleasant and energy-efficient working environment that at the same time significantly reduces energy consumption.

Project details
Die Hall cooling is based on a powerful adiabatic fresh air system that brings up to 56,000 m³/h of cooled outdoor air into the production hall. Textile air outlets distribute air evenly and draft-free throughout the room, significantly reducing the thermal load on employees.
Efficient adiabatic cooling can save around 77 percent of operating costs compared to classic mechanical cooling systems. At the same time, the solution reduces CO₂ emissions by 82 percent. The entire system was designed in such a way that it could be installed during operation without affecting production.
The result: A noticeably more pleasant working environment, significantly lower energy costs and a more sustainable production operation.
“The new plant has made a significant contribution to improving the comfort of our employees and thus created a much more pleasant working environment. ”
