Efficient hall cooling for glass production at Ardagh Glass

At its plant in Neuenhagen, Ardagh Glass GmbH uses sustainable hall conditioning from INFRANORM® to significantly reduce thermal stress in glass production. The aim was to create a pleasant working environment, reduce the load on production facilities and at the same time reduce the energy consumption of cooling.

Project details

The combined cooling solution from two-stage adiabatic cooling, targeted fresh air supply and textile air distribution ensure uniform, draft-free temperature control of the production hall. An additional exhaust fan efficiently removes the heated air from the upper area of the hall and thus increases the overall efficiency of the system. As a result, the indoor climate remains stable even at high outdoor temperatures and the thermal load on employees and machines is significantly reduced.

The result: Noticeably better working conditions for employees, reduced equipment wear and significantly reduced energy consumption — an important step towards safe, efficient and sustainable glass production.

“By using the innovative year-round cooling system from INFRANORM®, we were able to significantly optimize working conditions in our production hall. This measure is not only a benefit for the well-being of our employees, but also a future-oriented investment in the sustainable development of our company. ”

The customer company

Ardagh Glass Packaging is a leading international provider of sustainable glass packaging for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. In Germany, Ardagh Glass GmbH operates eight glass plants, including the Neuenhagen site, which produces over one million glass containers every day — from the smallest jam jar to large liquor bottles. The group of companies is pursuing ambitious sustainability goals, including the switch to renewable energy and the significant reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

An additional exhaust fan efficiently removes the heated air from the upper area of the hall and thus increases the overall efficiency of the system.

synopsis

The project at Ardagh Glass GmbH impressively shows how we meet the standards of sustainable hall conditioning redefine in demanding production environments. INFRANORM® has answered the challenge of ensuring the cooling of extremely heat-stressed glass production with a highly efficient and climate-friendly solution.

As an expert for industry, INFRANORM® implements such systems across Europe. Our service included the installation of two-stage adiabatic cooling with optimized fresh air supply and exhaust air flow.

The profit for Ardagh Glass GmbH:

  • Optimized working environment: Significant reduction of heat stress in glass production.
  • Machine protection: Less wear due to reduced heat input into the systems.
  • Energy efficiency: significantly reduced energy consumption compared to traditional cooling systems.

In short: We not only provide cooling, but also a system solution that combines efficiency, comfort and climate protection.
